Now we have a series of absolutely jaw-droppingly beautiful Pinterest boards, we're going to go back a little bit and now we're going to be looking at fonts and patterns.

We need to look at everything that we've built and we need to start to think about how that looks, how that makes us feel. We're going to jump back onto Pinterest together. And I'm going to show you a real live example of identifying the types of logos and fonts that really lend themselves to your brand. Don't forget, by the end of this process, what I want you to have is crystal clear, creative direction for your brand You can then take that to a designer and say, this is the direction that I want to go down, knowing exactly why is it your direction.

You've connected into the passion of your business. You know what your brand values are, a digital creator can then put that into your logo, into your patterns, into your fonts. But it's really important that we ourselves start to identify how they may look because we need to reference them against the interiors that we've developed already.

So let's go back on to Pinterest and I'll show you an example now.

Okay. So we're coming towards the end of the course now, but before we go, we're going to be taking a look at logos and fonts and pattern. Earlier on in the course, you committed to a season look and feel for the year. So, as I mentioned before, each season has a full set of typical attributes and colors that we see, and feel, and really recognise as a season changes.

So if you are in the spring season, if you are a spring brand. Then these are the  types of logos and fonts that you really should be looking towards using for your digital creation in your brand. As you can see, we've got really simplistic and beautiful logos, that almost look hand-drawn and light in appearance. I guess kind of feminine and simple. And yeah, they've really, represent what the spring season is to us.  How it looks and how it feels.

So it's simple, fresh, easy to consume, minimalistic lines. But still at the same time feeling warm and inviting as well. So take a moment. If you are a spring brand, these are the types of logos, fonts, print, pattern, that you really should be looking to use for your brand, your digital brand development.

So guys now it's time to look at examples of summer brands, okay? Let's take a moment to take this board in. Here we go. So I think straight away, it's quite obvious the similarities that you can see from brand to brand.  There is an absolute clear connection of energy, and color palette. And a real, real sense of fun. And let's think about that. Let's go back to the summer season and how that sort of feels to us. You know, we think about holidays, good times, hanging out with friends, warmth, heat, tropical,  all are those things that we connect with summer. That's when a summer brand is done correctly.

That's the sense that you get. It really is fun.  Here we go here for the goodish vibes. I feel so good. This is a great example. This is an American artist, and he does a lot of these kind of almost retro inspired feel-good, neon type of artworks that are fantastic.  I would recommend following him on Instagram, Tyler Spangler.

A lot of the  fonts that are used in summer brands might feel retro, but they're quite fun and energetic.  A lot of cool  icons will be used within a summer brand because they're a little bit ironic, little bit tongue in cheek. There's another great example there. And playful because that is what the summer season is.

That's how it feels. This is really about the energy. In terms of color palette, everything gets a lot warmer. The pinks get brighter, the reds get deeper.  You do still have those  pastel shades in there, but they are more acidic based because that's the way that they turn in the summer season.

Everything gets a little bit, there's a great example there, everything gets more fun.  And  tongue in cheek and ironic, and that really is the summer season. It's high energy, fun, and vibrant and impactful.

So it's time to look at autumn style brands. So before we start, I'll just give you a moment to  take all the visual in and have a look at these incredible brands on the screen. Let's think about autumn again as a brand and how that feels and how that looks. So it's the change of the season.

It's very much led by nature in terms of leaves coming off the trees, nature changes colour. It feels very humble and organic and it feels very warm. And it's the season of getting out knitwear and turning on the fires and, it's warm and cozy. So autumn branding for me, one of the biggest things I look for when I'm looking at autumn brand is I need to see something with a real sense of authenticity.

And this is a great example. So this logo here feels like, you know, it's been around forever, it stood the test of time and it could happily be stamped  onto the side of a crate, or a beer barrel.  It's got a real sense of honesty about it and longevity about it.  Here's another example of some really cool autumn brands.

So you've got the color palette and the tones in there. It does feel fun, but also with a sympathetic kind of mood to it as well. But again, everything feels like it could be easily stamped on the side of a crate or a barrel or carved into a piece of wood. So this is really, how autumn brands feel almost oldey worldy.

There's a great example of a crate. It really is about  authenticity and longevity and feeling like something that's been around forever that stood the test of time.  Think about a tree in the autumn. And when the bark of a tree and how it ages, and the material it's made from. That's how we want to see, an autumn brand look and also feel as well.

So you've got that real,  autumnal color palette coming through on everything. There's that real sense of grain and everything's organic, and really, really authentic and honest at the same time. It does have a depth and a mood to it. But it's, calm and almost gives you a big hug, just like the autumn season, when you get your lovely knitwear jumpers out of the cupboard for the first time.

Okay. So now we're going to come to the last season of the year and look at winter style branding. So if you have looked and you have decided that you are going to be a winter brand, then these other types of logos, prints and patterns that you may find used by a winter brand.  Let's take a moment again, just to remember what the winter season means to us. It's when the darkness comes and nights get shorter, everything's moodier..

There's also this underlying tone of glitz and glamor because we obviously have the festive season in winter. So winter logos, fonts, prints, and patterns tend to be on the bolder side of design. They tend to be edgier and look and feel visually more impactful and make a real statement just like the winter season itself.

So guys we've been through all the seasons now, you should absolutely be committed to the type of season that you are.  And what your look and feel is within that season. You should have by this point, a clear sense of creative direction for your color palette, for your mood, for your look and your feel through the seasons that we've gone through throughout the course.
